Return of the solo artist: opening for Tracy Grammer
04.22.13Hi Friends,
It’s been a while — are you all still out there? Let’s find out… The Jamboree has been on a bit of a hiatus, and probably will be for the foreseeable future. Lately I’ve been feeling the need to prove myself as a solo performer. I’ve always been more comfortable playing in bands or with other accompanists, but I think it’s time I tried carrying a show on my own shoulders, just me with no one to hide behind.
Well, looks like I’ll be getting that chance! I’ll be opening for my friend Tracy Grammer at The Alberta Rose Theatre on Friday, May 10. I’d love it if you would come join us! You can get tickets ahead of time on the Alberta Rose website.
See you there?
Leave of absence
10.02.12I know things have been a little slow here of late… I’ve been super busy finishing up a record and preparing for a west coast tour with The Cabin Project. But I’m happy to announce The Jamboree has a radio performance and a new show coming up in November!
We’ll be performing live on KZME 107.1FM on the “Hello Cruel World” radio show Saturday, Nov 17.
Then we’ll be performing with our friends Supercrow at The White Eagle on Friday, Nov 30. Mark your calendars… these may be our only shows this fall, so we hope you can make it!
Farewell to St. Dolores
07.19.1210 years ago today Dave Carter died. To my ear, he was one of the greatest songwriters to ever grace this earth. In honor of his memory and the songs he left behind, here’s our take on “Farewell to St. Dolores” like you’ve never heard it before. Click to listen.
