Covering The Boss and Chris Pureka! Plus KINK.FM interview and Mission Remission Benefit

In case you haven’t been keeping up, we’ve released 3 new downloads on our Twelve For Twelve project: covers of “Doralee” by Jesse Sykes, “Better Days” by Bruce Springsteen, and “Porch Songs” by Chris Pureka. Head over to our Bandcamp page to check them out!

In other news, KINK 101.9FM will be featuring us on their Homegrown Spotlight on Monday, April 16th at 8:30 pm. Portland area folks can tune in, and the rest can stream the segment at http://www.kink.fm

We’re also playing this great benefit show for our friend Kamina, a local artist who has been fighting colon cancer. Macadam’s Pub has graciously agreed to donate a percentage of the bar towards her medical expenses. So come on out and dance the night away for a good cause!

New song each month of 2012, plus we’re opening at The Triple Door!

The Jamboree is embarking on a new recording project called “Twelve For Twelve”. We’ll be releasing a new recording every month of the year on our Bandcamp page.

All the songs were written by other people, but we’re making them our own. A new track will become available each month on a pay-whay-you-want basis. You can even download or stream them for free!

This month we’ve recorded our own take on “Doralee” by Jesse Sykes & the Sweet Hereafter. We hope you like it!

Also, this weekend we’ll be opening at The Triple Door, one of the nicest venues in Seattle. We’re supporting Zoe Muth and her band The Lost Highrollers. I hope you can make it!

Tickets are going fast and are expected to sell out, so if you’re planning on coming I’d recommend buying tickets in advance.
